Another Julie Update

Hi all. Just wanted to let you know that I went to visit Julie last night. She seems to be doing well! My gosh- she just has the best family and friends. They were all there to support her and keep her spirits up. How lucky this girl is to have that kind of support. Her fever was down and she was up out of bed when I saw her. She's been walking a lot too. Julie has a great attitude and a wonderful sense of humor, even through this difficult surgery, she's smiling and in good spirits. She's having a lot of discomfort from her incision site (yes, all of up open post-ops know what that's like!) But, the staff was working to get her on top of her pain. If all continues to go well, which I'm sure it will, she should be out of the hospital on Thursday. I bumped into Dr. Aranow while I was there, who didn't recognize me (go figure, since I don't even recognize me) I had to 're-introduce' myself to him...he seemed pleased with Julie too. OK, so that's the scoop all. I told her we were all thinking about her and told her family to let me know if they need anything from us at all. I'm so relieved for her. She seems on her way to great things... have a great day! ~Lisa
