Hi all...just wanted to let you know that I left a message for Julie's mom to call me when she can. I know Julie was a little concerned about her weight and that keeping her from having surgery today...but, she was SUPPOSED to go in at 10:30 this morning. I've yet to hear otherwise. I'll update as soon as I hear anything at all from her mom. Best, Lisa C

I just heard from a friend of Julie's : She is out of surgery and in recovery right now. So far so good! WAY TO GO JULIE!

WOW!!! I AM SO HAPPY FOR JULIE! SHE IS NOW ON THE LOSING SIDE. I WISH HER LOTS OF SUCCESS!!! SHE AND HER FAMILY WILL BE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!!! PS: I AM SO SORRY EVERYONE FOR NOT POSTING IN LIKE THREE WEEKS. I HAD SOME COMPUTER TROUBLES BUT I AM BACK AND READY TO CATCH UP ON THINGS. ALSO AS AN UPDATE I HAVE MY SURGICAL CONSULT WITH DR. BARBA ON THE 27TH OF THIS MONTH. BUT SINCE I HEARD DR. VALIN DOES THE DISTAL RNY I AM ATTENDING HIS SEMINAR ON THE 30TH OF THIS MONTH. THE WAY I FIGURE, THIS IS A DRASTIC SURGERY. I DESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHECK OUT ALL OPTIONS..LOL!!!! I GUESS EVEN IF I SWITCH TO DR. VALIN I WILL STILL BE LOOKING AT SURGERY IN NOVEMBER. APPARENTLY HIS OFFICE GETS EVERYHTING DONE WITHIN 4 MONTHS UNLIKE THE 9 MONTHS I HAVE WAITED SO FAR FOR DR. BARBA(I COULD HAVE HAD A BABY DURING THIS AMOUNT OF TIME..LOL)AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE A SURGERY DATE YET WITH HIM. DON'T GET ME WRONG HE IS A GREAT DOC. BUT I'D MUCH RATHER HAVE THE DISTAL BYPASS AS OPPOSED TO THE PROXIMAL. I'LL FILL YOU ALL IN LATER!!!! ALSO A BIG
