Time for a Weekend Roll Call.......

Hi Linda and Everyone I am in CA sicker than a dog. I have a horrible head cold and sore throat. Luckily I'm here another two weeks, so I should have plenty of time to get better before my hubby joins me. The weather here is great and I've got a great tan going. I've been relaxing by the pool and doing a little shopping. We're going to hit Sea World, San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park when hubby comes. We have tickets to the Padres game tonight. Doubt I'll be feeling up to going. Surgery wise, my life couldn't be better. I haven't weighed myself in over a week and it's freaking me out. I feel my current clothes getting looser, so all must be well. It's hard to be sick post op. I just don't want to eat, so I am doing bars, shakes and water to try and get protein and fluids in. Morning Everyone, Linda...hope your mom is doing well....Chryssie....glad you are getting used to the liquid diet but you will be off that soon. ( i really want to talk to you about how your surgery was and stuff)..JA....mmm eggs...you will be eating other real foods soon.....everyone else..glad to hear everyone is pretty well as for myself?? i have been keeping very busy like Tara, working a full time job and a part time job, and i decided to start selling AVON... so i have been very busy. luckily, my daughter is a wonderful help and even though she is 15 and can drive me out of my gourd sometimes, she is there when i need her to be and for that i thank god for her... i have all my info to Dr. Bell's office, now i am just waiting on the call to tell me the date of my group visit..then it will be quick from there..im hoping to be able to see him in his sept group..but we will see....i am going to do my own variation of weigh****chers, with low sugar and lots of protein ( i want to try to get into the groove so to speak)...we are going to be having ww come to our work and its covered by our insurance, so im going to give it a try so when i have my surgery, i hopefully wont have so much weight to lose... Plans?? i will be working tonight, and tomorrow evening and get to spend the day with the hubby and daughter on Sunday. . hubby got hurt at work two weeks ago, so we are unable to go out on the boat...hopefully soon.. well i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend !!! PS... Its Melissa's birthday today and we made pancakes at work .... (we are in this office downstairs and we snuck the electric griddle into our empty cubicle...) lots of fun..but the last time we will be able to do that as she will be having her surgery in September.

We are having our annual block party in our neighborhood tomorrow. We have a very close neighborhood..about 10 core families who do lots of stuff together. This is our 7th block party, which is usually on MY lawn, but because of my surgery last month, I moved it down to the next two houses. I still was involved shopping and collecting money however. We have a moonbouncer and Critter Caravan coming for the kids. A local teen band to play for free for an hr...and a DJ for four hrs later in the evening. We get a snow cone machine and play Bingo and have a tournament of City shoes...(an easy game of throwing washers into cans...like horse shoes) and our every famous egg toss! My family really looks fwd to this every year..I am not going to obsess over the food...and join more in the activities this yr..now that I am 29 lbs lighter this yr.! Joanie

THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! This week has been wicked long. I don't usually say that either, they normally fly by! I am pretty excited about this weekend, it is all about me! I will be doing some visiting with friends tonight!! My best friend had twins a couple of weeks ago and we are getting together tonight with another friend from Florida. Can't wait to see my friend from Florida and the twins. I just love them!! Tomorrow I will work at my part-time job for a couple hours, no biggie. I work in a salon part time, its not like a job, its like hanging out with my girlfriends! I am also going to see my niece and nephew this weekend, I am just not sure when. I can't wait to see them too! I love little ones!! I am sure Monday will be here before I know it, however, I will not fret on that! Have a great weekend!

Hi Linda and EVERYONE!! I love these things! I read all the way and then hit top to add my 3 cents! I am going to try to make the Sept 11th get together, it's my anniversary, but we are going away to celebrate that the end of Aug. So I'll try. I'd so love to see you all! We are going up to Cooperstown, New York. My DH is a HUGE Yankees fan so he has always wanted to see the Hall of Fame, plus we are staying at the Ostega resort, which has dancing at night. I need to buy something to dance in and I gave him the job of buying me something for later!! He said he walked into Victorias Secret and felt like a kid in a candy store he didn't know what to buy me. I wonder what I am in for!! And to tell him size medium, well, that's just beyond amazing for me. I've been able to eat more lately. I'm not real concerned about it because I need to put back a few pounds. 145 is too low for me since I am 5'8". My face looks a little sunken so I am getting back to 150-155 and try to stabilize that. My newest incision is doing well, I have a big bruise and a bump, but I'll just assume that's from the trauma of being opened again and let it go. I can't believe I had this surgery 15 months ago. What a year this has been! This weekend I am just going up to Camp Chase where my daughter life gards and hanging out. I love it up there, it reminds me of that place in the Dirty Dancing movie, like time just stopped up there. It's a huge pool surrounded by beautiful woods and park grounds. It's also a day camp. She loves working there. I take my book and just ahhhh.......... Linda, hope your Mom's ok. You don't need anymore excitement in your life for awhile. Deb, I am glad you are seeing the doc about your vitamins. But I bet you'll look even cuter in a short hair cut. I did the same thing, and I love how quickly I can get ready now in the morning. Phyllis, can't wait to see you on Monday! Kathy, how come your picture stopped showing up?? Lisa, good to see you back too. We have the BEST BOARD ON OH!!! love Cheryl
