Hey everybody.. I usually hang out in the 20's forum but I decided to come say hi and check out the CT forum! I'm hoping to have RNY, and I've completed everything my dr. asked me to do.. the only thing left is to meet with the surgeon (Dr. Bell from Yale) If anyone has had him as a surgeon I would greatly appreciate anything you could tell me about your experience with him. Or just stop by my profile and check it out... say hi.. feel free I'll be around :)

Welcome! I am scheduled for my lapband surgery on Monday. My doctor is Dr. Nadzam at St. Raph's but I do know someone who used Dr.Bell and was very pleased. Good luck with your journey!

Hello Kait, Welcome! Dr. Bell is my surgeon and I can't say anything negative at all about Dr. Bell--about Jane, whom will will meet soon if you haven't already--about his entire staff, once you get in the door! Prior to the final steps it was a bit frustrating--but the insurance companies caused most of the waiting for me. Have you gone to the informational session yet? Dr. Bell performed my RNY on July 25, 2007-my aftercare has been excellent! One of the things that amazes me, is the time Dr. Bell spends during our appointments asking questions, answering questions and just caring about ME! the entire experience has been fantastic. Any questions, I will be happy to answer anything. best of luck! Jennifer

Hi..Dr. Bell just did my RNY on 1/16/08..he is a wonderful surgeon..very down to earth and friendly. I recommend you come to the support groups - 1st Tuesday of each month..tonight is one - in the Max Taffel room at yale from 6-8..very informative and he usually attends them all. Let me know if you have any other questions for me..
