A big BIG Thank You!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to thank everyone for their replies to my posting the other day. Thanks to all of you I have an appointment with Dr Giles at UCONN on Aug 9th. When I called his office on Wednesday and explained my situation and outlined all the pre-op testing I have had already, his receptionist asked me, "Well then why haven't you had the surgery yet?" It took every ounce of controll not to burst out laughing. I explained my situation and she said that Dr. Giles does not have either a weight or BMI limit as long as you get the green light from all the specialists. She booked me right then and there to see Dr Giles, and there just happend to be a cancelation on the 9th. I couldn't believe it. Again Thank you, Thank you. I was starting to get so discouraged, but this just goes to show what can happen if you just reach out to people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Linda, You are in good hands with Dr. Giles. He is a great surgeon and really good to his patients. If you are seeing him on the 9th then please come that night to our support group meeting. Congratulations. Dr. Giles is a wonderful surgeon but beyond that he is a wonderful person. Good luck.
