Anthem EPO?

Just wondering if anyone has Anthem EPO and how are they on covering Lap RNY. Up until September 1st I have Anthem HMO but for some reason company is switching over to EPO and have no clue what the difference in coverage is, does anyone know if this would cause a problem with approval? Heidi: I have no clue what the difference is either. I have Anthem POE thru State of CT employees. I would call BC on monday and ask them directly. Have you picked out a surgeon? If so they may be able to give you some great info also. Chryssie

Thanks Chryssie. I am going to Dr. Bell in August but my husbands company just gave us the info saying they were switching as of September 1st. I did ask BC if the policy covers the surgery and was told yes to the one we have now but we have to wait until Sept 1st to see if the new policy does or not. I have a secondary insurance that does cover it but have to try BC first they said. I just never heard of EPO before. Have dealt with HMO and PPO only so was looking for info on EPO.
