OT - Babysitters?

Hi Tara I teach at a middle school where some of the students take a babysitting course at the local Y. Try calling the Y to see if they have offered the course and can give you the names of some of those who attended. The local middle school or high school may have a suggestion - contact the guidance department. Have a great day, Pat

You might also try contacting the local girl scouts. There should be a local one or contact them in New Haven and they can give you the local number. They usually have some of the high school girls that babysit and some do it as part of girl scouts. Heidi

Oh geez, wish you were closer to me. I have a very responsible 17 year old teenager (who drives) and loves to babysit. She would rather babysit than get a job during the school year. We are always looking for babysitting jobs for her. And her favorite age is 4! Definitely a need to get parents with children and responsible teens together! I agree with most of the postings, check the local middle and high schools, the local Y, the library (they sometimes do babysitting courses), recreation programs, and the local churches (they sometimes have bulletin boards with postings). Hi Tara, Wish you lived closer to me too. I would babysit for you! I love kids, just was never blessed! And so do my dogs! Anyway, all good suggestions. Try the high school too, that's how I got all my babysitting jobs. xoxoxo JA

These are all such wonderful suggestions. I can't tell you all how much I appreciate your help. I've never really had a babysitter, my husband and I go out separately and we never get to enjoy time alone, which puts a strain on things at times. Thank you so much, everyone. I truly am greatful!!
