update new about sleep apnea
Hi again,
It seems God listened my prayer.... I received email from Lois (nurse who works for Dr Aranow.. sweet lady)... She said in email that once I have the machine and feel comfortable using it. i will probably have a follow up appointment with Dr (pulmonary) that orders me the machine. If he thinks everything is okay and can give me clearance for surgery, i will good to go. It should not take 8 weeks unless i have a problem with it. Lois can schedule the surgery date! Let s keep our fingers crossed that I do not have problem with that machine and esspecially mask. I will let you know after my appointment with him tomrorow afternoon.
Have a good day!

Kathy!
So happy to hear your news! I felt so bad for you yesterday! I knew it would work out though....hang in there and keep a positive thought!
If you have been going for this long without realizing that you had apnea I'll bet it's pretty mild like mine is and mine didn't keep me from the surgery.
Find out what setting they are putting your machine on...that will tell you how serious it is....my machine is set on 9...which is fairly mild.

Oh thank goodness, Kathy! 8 weeks would have been a long stretch for someone to wait until the next phase of this process. I can understand why you were so disappointed.
This is great news, so really, you can give it 3 weeks or so. People adjust to a CPAP within the first week. You will do just fine.
Thanks for the update!!
