September 11 CT Dinner
Hi everyone,
I just got word back from the Chowder Pot in Branford and they can accomodate us on Sept 11th, but we need to order off their "Dinner Banquet Menu" because we'll be such a large crowd. Prices range from $26 on up. We CAN NOT order off the regular menu because of the size of the group. There is a $8 plate splitting charge!! WTH??
I dont know about you but I can't justify spending that much on a meal when I wont be eating much of it. Does anyone have another idea of where we can go?
Send me a few names of restaurants and I'll start making phone calls.
I'd like to keep the date Sept 11, around 4pm since just about everyone is able to come that day. I received RSVP's for almost 30!
Thanks, and I can't wait to see all of you!
I don't know if this is something that will help - but the Bugaboo Creek in Manchester lets me eat off the kid's menu every time. I get a small steak and a caesar salad - $5.99!
Just a thought.
Oh, BTW, count me in for the 11th - wherever it is. Probably bringing hubby and 2 kids if they are still all welcome.

I probably won't be able to make the dinner I am hoping to go to Lake George for the weekend but I have some ideas or suggestions. There is Jimmie's of Savin Rock in West Haven on the shore, which could probably accommodate a large group. They have food like the Chowder Pot. The Red River Grill on the Boston Post Rd is good they have good prime rib or Pasta Fair is across the street and there is also Humphrey's on the Boston Post Rd too. Also Lucibello's on Elm St in West Haven has good Italian food. Good Luck on your search.
