hair loss
so my hair had been just falling out of my head!!! very depressing...so my doctor told me to get on some over the counter Biotin...and CUT MY HAIR...I was in such a tizzy...I have not had short hair in sooooo long...but yesterday I did it...and I am soooo happy with the results. The hair dresser was aware of hair loss due to gastric bypass--she hooked me up with a great new fun hair style and told me to use hair thickner instead of mousee...and it works! I will post some new photos soon!
so get the biotin and cut the hair!
Tina,
I am taking 5,000 mcg which is one pill--it is a large pill but easy to handle! I started on the smaller pills taking 5 a day, all at the same time.
I am using Biolage hair thicker because I got it at the salon--it is on the expensive side, but so worth it--I look like I have more hair than before the surgery!
the hair cut is making a huge difference as well, now in the shower I am only getting a few strands of hair as opposed to handfuls!

I've lost a nice amount of hair myslef, but I had a lot and quite thick hair to begin with. I'm happy how it looks now, but I'm still losing it... wi**** would stop. I've heard a lot about Biotin, I think I need to break down and go to the Vitamin Shop in manchester and pick some up... I don't want to cut my hair short, at least not right now... its to cold... rather wait till the weather gets a tad bit warmer... but I shall see... I do like how it looks now, but again still losing some...
at first, the hair loss was not the bad, but it was getting much worst going in to my third month out--I started the Biotin (you can get it at Walmart or Target much cheaper than a Vitamin shop) about a month ago--and my hair loss has significantly decreased--my hair has always been fine, but I was having a difficult time with the receeding hair line and how thin it was getting up topside--it is worth the investment--not to mention the Biotin helps the nails stay strong!!!
