Found CHEAP Protein Shakes...

this week at the Ocean State Job Lot. I know that there is one in Clinton and one in East Haven/Foxon (where the AMES used to be). I guess Dr. Phil is making a shake now, maybe he always did and I just didn't notice, they're selling them $0.34 cents each or 3/$1.00. I tried one, not bad, can't go wrong as a backup for that price. Stats on the shake: 210 calories (a little high?), 3g fat, 20g carbs, 26g protein, 70% daily calcium, and looks to be average for the rest of the vitamins and minerals. He also has protien bars in peanut butter and toffee flavors (my mom tried one and said it was a little "grainy" but for that price, who cares?) Oh, and they had the powdered Atkins Advantage shake mix in the canisters too for $3.99 a can, 13 servings when mixed with 7-8 oz. water. I'm a math freak, so that's 0.31 cents per shake. Hmm, cheaper than the Dr. Phil's. They had chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and I think a coffee flavor. I'll have to compare them to the ready made Atkins shakes and see if I notice a difference.
