PCP help in ffld/NH county

my pcp i have had for years doesn't believe in WLS and he said since my blood pressure is fine i'm fine ..but i'm so not.. he just keeps telling me lets check it out next time... i have the blue care family plan which sucks sometimes and needs a refferal to a bariatric doctor.. if anyone has any PCP docs in ffld county, even new haven county, that are supportive of weightloss surgury can you help me with a name... i have a directory of who takes my insurance so i can check i just need to find a new PCP thanks so much

My PCP Dr. was very supportive of my wanting WLS. She even gave me the name of the worlds best surgeon Dr.Bell. My PCP is Dr. Tamar Braverman in Branford. She is a superb doctor. Best of luck to you. E-mail me if you want her phone number or if you have any other questions. Chryssie

My PCP, Glenn Rich in Bridgeport (also Shelton, I believe), was the one who actually suggested sugery to me, so I would have to say that he was VERY supportive.

hi elizabeth My dr in fairfield was VERY supportive of me having the surgery and has other patients who have had it to so she was very familar with it. she is on the post road in fairfield... Dr Faye Ahmadian. i personally think she is the greatest. Cheryl K rny 6/13/03
