JULIE, I HAD TO DO A LOW FAT 1,000 CALORIE DIET FOR 2 WEEKS PRIOR - I WAS TOLD IT WILL BURN A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF FAT OFF THE LIVER MAKING IT EASIER TO FLIP DURING SURGERY - THAT IS FOR LAPRASCOPIC MAYBE OPEN IS DIFFERENT - LOTS OF LUCK!!
