Hello, I was thinking of everything I need to do before surgery and I thought "oh no, I don't have an Angel" How do I get one? ..... lol I'm being silly but are there any takers out there? I figured I should get this squared away since my surgery date is 2 weeks from Monday. Oh and I will do my best to be at Dr. Aranows support group meeting on Monday night. I am looking forward to seeing all of you there. I am getting more and more excited every minute. It's all I can think about. I also have to deal with crash dieting the next week so my over indulgence over the past couple weeks doesnt show too much. My bad. Does anyone have a copy of a pre-surgery diet, I've heard some doctors have you on liquids for a week. I haven't been told yet what I need to do. I will find out tomorrow about bloodwork and an EKG that needs to be done. I will update you all if anything changes. Thank you to everyone who has replied to my posts and who has just sent words of encouragement. I'm sorry if I haven't had a chance to send you a personal reply. I have my hands full and have not had much online time. I hope everyone has a great weekend. ~Julie~

Dr. Tran and the nutritionist, Laurie Jordan had me on Optifast for 2 weeks, so that was my pre-surgery diet. That blew chunks, but I stuck to it and it wasn't all that bad. Lost 10 pounds those two weeks. Well sheesh, I would love to be your angel if you don't mind having me! Besides, you help keep me awake most nights, I owe you! Tara

Hey Julie, I hope to see you at Dr A. support group this monday!! It will be nice if you use on liquids for a week to make your liver reduce to make easier for surgery. I am going to do that for using liquid for a week before surgery myself. Please do not take stress yourself and take one time a day Smile! I hope you find an angel from Tara Lynn Kathy K

Julie- I'd really LOVE to be your angel, if you don't have one yet. Unless Dr. A has changed something, you just go liquid for 24 hours before the surgery. I'll bee meeting Kathy K at Middlesex at 6pm (before the group meeting) If you want to meet us, that would be great. Drop me a line and let me know, OK? hugs, Lisa C

Dr. Aranow does not require any post op diet except a light dinner the night before... I had my surgery with him three weeks ago...Good luck with your surgery, you are in great hands Joanie

I hopefully will be seeing both of you at the meeting monday night. I plan on getting there a little early too so we can have some time to talk. Hmmmm.... well Tara Lynn can be your newbie Angel, and I can be your old lady Angel. How about that? Would be happy to visit you in the hosp. But, I'd reserve that decision until you are post op, because, honey, to be honest, you just don't know how you're going to feel. Personally, morphene made me grumpy and sleepy. What horrble company I made. Looking forward to seeing you on Monday. Feel free to meet us in the cafeteria if you get there early. I'm also bringing my post op buddy (she had surgery 1 week before me and is at goal and beyond and done all her plastics) with me to the meeting.
