Hi Folks,
Well I went and visited with JA today! She looks great 
She said she feels fine, just a bit tired. She was in the step down unit (not unusual) for the first night and moved into a private room this morning. Her leak test went great however she did not like the taste 
. I expect she will be home tomorrow and posting herself. We have to all remind her to take some pics. She forgot to take before pics!!! All of you pre-ops please take those pics and do your measurements. You will regret later on not doing that. You need those reinforcements every so often.

Great news!!! What is the step down unit? Is it like ICU? A private room. How nice. I am hoping for one of those!!!! However with my luck I will be stuck in a QUAD. It is so wonderful to hear that she is doing well. Thanks for keeping us updated on JA. You are a great angel. Keep us posted.

Hey how are you doing? You must be more than ready for Monday!!!! The step down unit is sort of between the ICU and the regular surgical floor. You get a bit more personal attention there than you do on the regualr floor. Dr. Bell ususally schedules two rooms one of them being the step down incase it is needed but alot of times it is just what is available. (I think that the 2nd case of the day has a better chance of being in there because of bed space but who knows......
). I wouldn't worry about a quad room as there aren't any on the surgical floor, just semi private and private. Do you know when Cheryl comes back? If she is not coming back by monday please let me know so I can pick up on her duties
