Just getting started

Hi everyone! I am just starting the process....my first group information session has been scheduled. I wanted to say thanks for all the postings. I've been reading them all and you have been very helpful with your information. I appreciate it!

Hi Christine and Welcome I did all the process and it took me about a month and a half for everything to go thru it depends on your insurance. I really hope everything works out great for you. My surgery date is August 4th. Good Luck and keep us posted Ok!!! Millie Martinez

Hi, It is good to meet you. I am also in the process of getting things done so I can have surgery. It is exciting and scary all at once. One second I am smiling and brilliantly happyday I start feeling butterflies.. I am so thankful to have a place to talk to people who understand those feeling. Welcome to the CT Boards, Christine. I've only been on the boards for a couple of months but these wonderful people have become my family. Sometimes we are so "intimate" here that you truly get to know people. It's fantastic. I am 4 weeks post-op today and I am looking so different already. If you have any questions, no matter how silly you think they are, this is the place to ask because chances are, we've had the same questions. Tara

Hi Christine, Welcome to the best group of people ever. They have lots of answers for any questions or if you just need to vent. I can't believe I started this journey a year ago-and time has flown by. It seemed forever while I was pre-op but now that I'm post op it has gone by so fast. 5 MONTHS AND 65 POUNDS lighter. Just think that this time next year you will be in the same situation. Good Luck!!
