I'm back and Surgery date confirmed
Hi all, I am back from Maine and I so don't want to be. It was sooo beautiful and peaceful there. We stayed at a house right on a lake. Even though it rained for part of it we still had a very nice time and I did catch some rays. While I was there I heard from Lois at Dr. Aranows office (thank God for cell phones) she confirmed I am scheduled for surgery on August 9th. She should hear back from my insurance quickly since Health Net is really good about that and they never have any issues with them. That is less than three weeks away. It is finally real. I also heard from the hospital to confirm all my information and to ask if I had a living will. They suggested I pick up the info when I come for my bloodwork to take care of it before hand. Now I keep thinking of everything I learned, what to bring to the hospital, what to have in the house for when I come home.... and 50 million other things. I am feeling a little stressed even a little scared. I am off to bed because I am exhausted. Bye for Now.

Hi Julie!
Welcome back! I just got back from Maine myself and it was really tough getting back to work on Monday. We have a cottage on Sabattus Pond just outside of Lewiston. What lake did you stay on? Just curious. I love it up there. I have been after my husband to move up there for years but no luck yet. The weather wasn't great for us either but any day outside of work is a good one.
Congratulations on getting your date. I'm sure your trilled to have something finally set in stone. It will go by faster than you think and soon you'll be on the losing side. I've never regretted my decision to have this surgery (Jan. 26, 2004). It's the best thing I've ever done for myself. I'll be thinking of you on Aug. 9th. Take Care.
