Lets talk TT
Hi Toni, I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
I have had my consult for hernia repair, abdominoplasty and breast lift. The hernia should be covered, the plastic surgeon's office is putting in for panniculectomy( excess abdominal skin removal). So I am waiting for the final verdict of what my total costs will be. Since I will have the three things done at the same time it will reduce some of my costs. They estimate I will have to still pay about $7500.00 for everything after insurance. Alot of money, but I think I deserve to complete this journey and get rid of all the left over excess baggage(skin). I still would like my arms fixed too.
Wishing you all the best. Keep us posted on what happens.

Hi Toni,
Here's crossing my fingers that you'll get an approval for your TT. I had a lower body/lift TT October 06. I had to pay out of pocket as I didn't have complications from the xtra skin.
However... I am calling my PS tomorrow for a consultation for a revision. My skin is very loose again around my mid section where I can pull it about 2 or more inches each side. (GROSS!) Also where she cut across my lower abs is now hanging.
I did have a talk with my PS over the phone a few months ago & explained what was going on.. I've changed & upped my exercise routine to 5 days a week with cardio & weight lifting so it has changed my physic & muscle mass causing the drooping.
I'm a little discouraged as the skin is making my pants tight... I haven't gained weight (the 5 pound fluxuation with the monthly visitor) but that's pretty normal for any of us ladies)
Had I known this was going to take place after a year I think I would have held off a little longer.. but I was just about 2 years out of the WLS when I had the TT & my weight was stable by then.
I'm hoping it won't be too much out of pocket we'll see.
PS... the TT surgery was a "cake walk" no real pain. Worst part was the anesthesia as it was a 5 1/2 hour surgery where that really knocked me on my butt. The drains were a little ouchy but it was very "non eventful".
I also had some liposction done on my back side (right above my butt) to remove a pocket of very large solid fat that wouldn't budge no matter what I did for exercise. That was a little ouchy when I sat but definately happy with the results..
Keep us in the loop of how you made out with the insurance hopefully with the documented & treatment of rashes you'll get a quick answer.
Take care,
Mickey
