What do you want to say to your surgeon?

I guess this question is mainly directed at the posties out there... I have taken to the notion that I want to write my surgeon a 'thank you' letter. I absolutely adore my surgeon, Dr. Aranow. (as all of you know, I'm sure) I thought I knew what I wanted to say...but then I started writing and it just didn't seem that I had the right words to say everything I wanted. Normally, I have NO problem expressing myself. I guess I'm just a little overwhelmed about the whole WLS situation. So, to put my gratitude over having a new life in writing seems impossible. Anyway... I was wondering...What would you like to tell YOUR Surgeon when you have the chance? Perhaps your thoughts will help me to move my thoughts along. Thanks! Lisa

Lisa, I have not had my surgery yet , but I can say that late last week and early this week, I thought I was going totally . Anyway, I had my endoscopy on Monday, a requirement for those using St. Ray's, and my Dr came down a little early beforehand. I must say that his confidence and air of "calmness" has put me at ease. He was so relaxed, talking and joking, and it really helped. Maybe letting him know how he put you at ease ahead of time would be a way to start? Does this help??? Anne
