Today they ran the cathador in and removed just over a litre of fluid from the lung cavity. She had no problems through the procedure and everything went smooth. They sent this fluid off to the lab for analasis and we should get the results tomarrow. The doctors want to know exactly what kind of virus it is. The only thing we have to watch is that the fluid doesnt build up again. That is a concern of mine. They are going to watch for that via X ray and/or Cat scan. The plan now is to get her weened off the vent slowly. When the meds wore off she was semi alert. I know she is feeling better because she is kicking everything around her, disconnecting her pulse monitor etc. She's restless and rightfully so. Providing no additional fluid builds up, I think its safe to say were on the upswing. If everything looks good, it should be 1-2 days before they attempt removing the tube, but their being very cautious. That's all I have for now! Until next time! Sincerely, Pete Is looking better guys keep up the prayers and well wishes....... Love ya's, Val
