Hi Chryssie, I want to wish you good luck as well. This is such an exciting time! As far as work, I had lap RNY and took 2 weeks off from work. Like Michelle said, I wish I had 3 because I was so tired that first week back, but with my job I just couldn't take any more than that. If it is a hardship on your company for you to take more than that off, maybe you could go back a couple of half days at first. (My doctor even offered to write me a note) Good luck, Anne

Hi Chryssie, Dr. Bell recommends 3 weeks out - but some go back sooner. I, on the other hand, stayed out 4 weeks (the 4th week was the week between Chrismas and New Years), and I don't regret it. You will be tired, even when you feel good for a while, so you'll appreciate the time to take naps , etc. Best wishes to you. God Bless, Kathy Bilodeau
