It's quiet around here
Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Friday and a good weekend. I'm still at a stall but doing what I can to get out of it. Sticking to a 1,000 calories. Taking a 40 minute fast paced walk every day (whi*****ludes some hills).
What is the longest anyone has stalled??? Any tips for how you got out of it? I don't want it to be time yet for my body to have settled into this weight.
Shout out to Dreaming_Angel. Are you OK? What happened to the daily thread for a food log. I miss it and you.
Take care of yourselves everyone. Keep warm.
Bev
Hey Bev!
Thanks for the shout !
I'm alright, feeling a bit blue but I think its just that time of the month, ya know...
Also, that's the reason I haven't posted a log... I can't plan ahead my foods and when I do it turns into a total disaster... feeling a bit better today though so I'll indulge in a food log ... hehehe
I feel horrible right before I get my period.. it seems like I am floating outside my body knowing what I have to do and what I need to eat, but my body revolts against everything I try to do... if I try to make myself eat a piece of chicken I end up head first in the toilet... I try to eat some cheese and I'll be shooting it out of my noise as I kneel to the porcelain! HOWEVER if I give in to that one slice of toast with butter for breakfast... the 1/2 can of chicken noodle soup for lunch and scoop of rice .. I'm fine and mind you all of the above make me sooooo sick any other time except when I am about to get my damn period! WHY?! WHY?!
I get so mad and fustrated that my body seems to revolt against me.
OK... all you carb watching people...
I will probably say something that will make you cringe.
I do believe it has been documented that we women, right before our menstrual cycle,
need some added carbs to help with hormonal swings.
The carbs help with the lower levels of Serotonin in the brain.
Now that does not mean the "stupid, empty" carbs,
but...
perhaps a small piece of sweet potato, or butternut squash with a meal that has protein.
also..
Regular aerobic exercise is beneficial and may reduce PMS responses because it increases production of endorphins (the body's natural painkiller), which in turn may raise the serotonin level.
be patient.

Good luck Rich on Monday. I hope all goes smooth and you get your sign off. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Do you have anymore tests to do?
Ditto on the three day weekend. It seemed to take forever today for 5:30 p.m. to come at work. I actually have no plans except for a B12 shot on Monday. It's time to do the taxes and our home office looks like a tornado hit it so I guess I'll be hunting, sorting and filing (and let's not forget arguing with hubby) sometime this weekend. But I'm grateful for this new skinnier me. Now I have the energy and endurance to tackle any DIY jobs around the house. I feel spring fever coming on early this year. Well I'm rambling and the lids are getting heavy so I'm going to bed.
G'night

Hi Rich,
Sorry, but my PCP does my B-12 shots. It's an hour for me to drive to Dr. A's so I only go to him for my checkups and fills. But my brother and his family live on South Ave. in North Haven so if I'm planning a trip there I'll give you a call and maybe we can meet. Private Message me your phone number.
It's terrific that you are so close to being scheduled.
The energy and strength to do those chores comes from a consistent exercise plan. Before I only had fond memories of when I could move all the furniture around in the house. With the extra weight I would give the couch a nudge and nothing would happen. I am back to being able to move the furniture. I can haul boxes of stuff up and down the cellar stairs now. Before I had a hard time getting me up the stairs nevermind a box with me.
It's great. You're gonna love it.
