The countdown

Well folks...the "real" countdown is here! I have my pre-op with Dr. Bell and Yale this Thurs. 7/15, and then my surgery on 7/21/04 Boy, are the emotions all over the place! I think I'll go before it's over! Maybe I'll just JA

Hi J A, I think most of us felt like this before surgery. I know for me I felt crazy, scared, sad, happy, everything all at once. Then the week before surgery I had this really weird calmness come over me. You'll do great, it will be here in no time, and you'll be on your way! Take care, Anne

Everyone says the same thing, so I have to believe it right? This week is superbusy for me, which is great. I pray that the surgery is in the a.m. so I don't have to hang around waiting until 2:00 or so..that would drive me straight up a wall! Thanks so much for your encouragement. JA

Like what happened to me, ya mean? Ugh, that was just too stressful. Sitting there, waiting! Well, the day will be here before ya know it, J. I promise!

Yes, I will be a wreck...but I'm planning on a morning surgery like I get to choose! JA

Wow tha went by fast!!! I can't believe that your surgery day is almost here. The emotions are all over the place now I'm sure, but you will be so happy you did this. Maggie

You're almost there!! I know it probably feels like time is slowing down, wait until a day or two before surgery ... I know I spent the night before running around, trying to organize my life before I went in ... as usual I was too disorganized to succceed! By the middle of next week it'll all be over, you'll be on some good drugs, and you'll be on the loser's side ... in a good way. Kathy F.
