Surgery date question.

When you are finally called for a surgery date, do you have any say in when you would like your date (especially those at UCONN). In my perfect world, I would like to have my surgery the first week in October. Should I tell my doctor that? Thanks, Phyllis

Hi Phyllis, I had a different Dr than you, and I didnt have a choice, but I did want the very first available...and thats what I got. But I wanted to tell you that you look so familiar! We do live in the same town, but still, I've seen you somewhere! Please don't be scared! LOL. -Deb

I didn't have a choice either. But it doesn't hurt to ask the doctor!! Since it's a ways away, he might have an opening then!

I DID ASK THEM FOR THE FIRST POSSIBLE DATE AND THEN I ASKED FOR A SPECIFIC DATE CLOSE TO WHAT THEY GAVE ME AND WAS ABLE TO GET IT - I WOULD DEFINITELY ASK
