Just make sure to remember to chew real well, that is key. I started with chicken first before I went to any red meat. That might be a suggestion for you. Chicken breast, I loaded it with either the low fat, low cal Italian dressing, or BBQ sauce(which I was able to tolorate without it coming up or giving me the dumps). Give that a try. Which ever you do, I stuck to that meat for a 5-7 days using different recipes, just to make sure I could keep it down. Just a couple of suggestions. Let me know how you make out. Luis

Welcome to the boards!! What a tremendous success you are! I'm 8 mos. post-op & a little over 80 lbs. down; my dr. says 15-20 more lbs. -- I say 30-40 ... never satisfied!! The extra skin is a bear, isn't it? I have a hernia so am going to try to get the tummy tuck with the hernia surgery, but my legs are far and away the worst ... unfortunately, that's gonna be impossible to sell to the insurance company! I know that having another operation will be very scary for my loved ones as well ... they didn't ask for this anxiety, and yet we have to do what we have to do. I'm sure she'll be supportive, in spite of her worries. That's what you do when you love someone -- you worry! Again, welcome. This is a great group of supportive people. I don't know what I'd do without my friends here on the CT page; they really are special. You did everything right -- come back & talk to us again soon! Kathy F.

Hi Kathy Thanks for the wonderful compliments and for the warm welcome. I see you are doing great yourself. That is good news. Almost at your goal. . Yes, the extra skin is horrible. I don't even know if my insurance will even cover it. I have not even looked into it yet. I don't want to worry about just yet. I will cross that road when I am close to it. No sense in losing sleep over something that I feel could be at least six to eight months away. I hope all goes well with your hernia surgery and tummy tuck, maybe the Doc could throw in the legs. I will keep writing now. Thanks again. Luis

Hi Phyllis Thanks for the the warm welcome. Have you met with a Dr. yet or are you shopping around. Have you tried any support groups, or just chat on the message board. Please let me know if I can help in anyway. I know that there are not to many men that had this done, so my post op comments may differ a lot then a woman's, but I am here to help in anyway I can, just let me know. You have a great day too.
