Hey to All This is my first time using the message board. Cheers, , , I really just used this site to update my profile and post my accomplishments. I hope to use the board more often and be of help to all that needs it. . and vice verse. I will be 10 months post op (open) on the 11th of this month and to date I have lost 165lbs. I am only 20lbs to my goal weight. I can't tell you the happiness that is on my face when I look in the mirror. Besides the sagging extra skin, I love my new body. . Have been working out at home and using the treadmill, but the sagging skin won't tighten up. Looks like plastic surgery will have to be considered. Another surgery, I don't think my wife could go thru another one. Pretty scary. Well don't know if I am doing this right, so won't write much. Talk soon. Luis

Hi JA Thanks for the warm welcome , . Oh my goodness, yours is right around the corner. Where are you having it done and by what Dr. The anxiety must be killing you, it killed me. I know all will be okay. We are doing this or did this for all the right reasons. By the way, what does JA stand for. Luis

Hi Luis, You are quite welcome My doctor is Dr. Bell at Yale, and I am having a lap RNY. The anxiety is driving me I feel like out of my skin! But I DO know it is the right decision. Thanks so much for your encouragement. JA PS My initials are JA (still too scared to come all the way out yet!)

Hi JA You are making the right decision, the first 4 weeks post, you maybe thinking different, but let me tell you when you start seeing the lbs dropping, you will never have doubted it in the first place. It's okay if you don't want to come out yet, believe me I wish I was still in . Thanks Luis

You should update your picture on here, you look nothing like that now! Yes, my surgery was a success. I post a lot, so you can always go check out my updates and what not. I did get some fluid in the lungs which caused for a longer recovery, but that's just about cleared up now, and I am feeling great today! I had my follow-up yesterday, so I am not going to weigh tonight, but I can understand why it's your new best friend! You rock! See ya tonight! T

Well, I like being checked out - thanks! As I sit here, I have this rock in my stomach. I think I ate too fast again. Will I learn to eat slower? I mean, this is only day 2 of solids and day 2 of me feeling like I have a small child sitting inside my chest.
