Hi All: I did not know where else to go. I have to get rid of a ton of stuffed animals and toys. My 4 year old son's room is overflowing. These toys are all in perfect condition. I do not want to throw them out. Do you know of anywhere I can donate them? I know there are children out there who are less fortunate I just don't know how to get these treasures to them. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks, Chryssie

There are a few places you can go. Try your local homeless shelter. Also, call your local police department and let them know you have toys to donate to the demestic violence center. Alot of children are taken out of the homes without anything because the parents have no choice when they are in a hurry to escape. Hope that helps, Heidi

Chryssie, Try the battered womens' shelter in New Haven, or maybe a local day care center JA

Hi Chryssie, Try calling infoline 211 and they can give you a list of places that accept that type of donation. I work at a Shelter for Homeless Families in Norwich and our children love to receive stuffed animals. I'm sure there is a shelter in your area that would love to take them. You can also email me if you want me to give you the names and numbers of the shelters. (im at home right now)

Chryssie: If you have any wooden Fisher-Price "Little People" ( I think they're called), I have a friend with a handicapped son whose physical therapist uses them during their sessions. My friend has been trying desperately to find some but has had no luck . . .
