help need input
Donna:
I know most Dr.s recommend waiting a year. If you are pg. I recommend you get to an OB/GYN asap. They way they can ensure you are getting all the nutrients you need. The baby will be fine since they get all the nutrients first then whatever is left over goes to you. I would think 25 to 30 pounds would be an adverage weight gain. I could be wrong as I gained 75 pounds when I was pg.
Best of luck to you and keep us posted.

A subject that is near and dear to my heart...post-op pregnancy!
Let me start by saying this... while being 6 1/2 months post op and getting pregnant certainly is not an ideal situation, it is by no means the end of the world. If you are making a choice, I would NEVER choose this.
Having said that, I know many people on this site who have found themselves 'accidently' in this situation and have had healthy pregnancies and happy healthy babies.
You MUST be closely monitored by your OB and work closely with a nutritioninst. Please also see your surgeon and let him/her know what's going on. They will have advice too.
There is a post-op pregnancy forum you can go to for more advice on this site. But, please don't compare yourself too much. It's important to take the advice of the medical pros you're going to work with and to make sure you do what is right for your unique situation.
Best wishes to you,
