Well, between Thanksgiving and New Years I managed to put on 10 pounds!!! ARGH!!! Pre-WLS this was normal, but I really expect better of myself now. So I have been working really hard on losing those extra 10 pounds. This is especially hard when those crazy food craving****! What is a formerly Morbidly Obese Neo-Warrior Princess to do? Well, I am, as we speak, stuffing my face with celery. Yup, you heard me right, CELERY! I have so far crunched down on 4 stalks of stringy, crispy, yummy celery. If this doesn't kill my food cravings I will most likely move on to having a full-blown nervous brekdown!!! On a serious note, I have managed to lose 7 of those pounds in the last week. Wanna know how much celerey chomping that took? (trust me, you don't really wanna know...sigh) So, protein first, celery forever after is the new motto. (burp....)

Oh, I am aware alright....... Sucks having this type of relationship with food, but it is what it is. I have learned to accept that , and strieve to maintain despite the pull that food continues to have on me.  Some days are better, some days are worse.  As long as I exersize I do ok. Whenever I slack on the exersizing part, I see the scale creep up..... When I do exersize, I can almost eat a horse and it doesn't make me gain any weight... So the moral of the story is to exersize, at least for me.... And eat lots of celery if I do gain,,,,,,,, And not to give up on myself.........Have Faith that I can do it....

Oh, I know you are aware! You would not have gotten this far for so long and been successful. And.. you would not have "outed" yourself... aka, reached out for help. I am learning of late... that the longer out I get from those early days the MORE vigilant I need to be. Not in a crazy fearful way, but in a grounded.. this is the course way. The EASIER it is to fall back into, what was my,  unconscious eating patterns. And the easier it is to eat more.... quantity thing. So.. adopting the saying. LESS is MORE... I keep trying to use my tools as I learned them early on. EXERCISE. Prime Prime Prime... in my recovery... which brings me to ... proactive continuity. This has come to me as a gift... a gift that was given to me (as example)  from the very patient Kathy K., and my husband... then by my employer. Without  exercise (for me Yoga and Pilates and Walking) I am lost. With exercise I am allowed to fully and increasingly feel my body's strength. I am learning to honor my body as a temple that holds this ever (babystep) learning soul of mine. Glad to cross paths with such an honorable soul as you. BTW... read your line  that said... "So the moral of the story is to exersize, at least for me...." as... So the morsel of the story is to exersize, at least for me.... hee. see you around the campfires. T.

I don't actually keep track, lol....I just keep munching away...and away, and away...... Hey, if one can turn orange from eating too many carrots, can one turn green from eating too much celery? That would not be a good thing.....

Hey - It's great to see your face here on the board!

You are way too motivated and inspirational to ever go back to your old ways - good for you for catching the 10 before it turned into something unmanagable!

Good job - 7 pounds in one week - wow!
Warm Regards - Tammy -
