Linda, CONGRATS on the house sale! You must be excited! I think going back to basics might be the answer, although, I am still preop as you know, but it sounds logical! I am spending weekend at my friend's lakehouse in Ellington. I can't wait. I soooo need some time away. I got a pet sitter for my puppies, and I'm leaving late Sat pm or early Sun. If it rains, we'll shop As of today only 19 more days til surgery! Boy am I ready! I've been having so much trouble with my rheumatoid arthritis, I am about ready to cut my feet off they hurt so much! I've started my vitamins and my calcium chews; hopefully, getting a head start might help with hairloss down the pike. I am so fearful of losing my hair, one of the only decent things I have, other than my teeth! So Happy 4th of July all! Have a safe and happy holiday. JA

Hey Jan, Have a great time in Ellington. I am sure just being away will help your anxiety level tremendously. Before you know it you will be looking back at this time going I don't remember all of that stuff!! . I am sorry that your RA has been acting up so badly. No guarantee that will go away but it will be easier with less weight to carry around with you. Have a wonderful weekend and I will see you on Tuesday!! Linda

Hi everyone, I have been very bad at not posting lately. I am not sure why and I always promised myself that I would not be a post-op that dissapeared after the surgery. I spend time on here everyday, checking the posts and keeping track of how everyone is doing. I am doing well except for no weight loss this month. I was not doing very well with my eating though. I just got back from a 5 day camping trip and I really eat a lot. It scared me but I am trying to get back on track again so I don't gain weight. My scale says I gained 2 lbs but that much sometimes fluctuates from day to day. Monday I have front row seats at the Mohegan Sun to see sting and will be picked up by a limo to go to the show. The best part is that it will all be free to us. A coworker of my husband is treating us and another couple to this great excursion. Linda, we really appreciate the effort you have put into the support goup and I will definatly be there on Tuesday. The speakers sound great. I think it adds a lot to the meeting to have speakers, especially when you are post-op and have been to many meetings. Heather

Hi Heather, Welcome stranger....:LOL. I know you have been very busy but it is really nice to see your face on here once in awhile. I can't believe you are going to that concert!!!! I had considered it but the tickets are sooo expensive. Lucky you going for free and in a Limo no less. I hope you went out and bought yourself a smashing outfit to wear . I am going to see Carole King there on the 27th but alas no front row and no limo . Can't wait to see you on Tues. I am glad that folks are interested in having some speakers. Its hard to find the right mix though of discussion and speakers. Working on it. Linda

Linda -- Congrats on the upcoming house sale -- it didn't seem to take too long. I know a couple of people trying to sell right now, and they're not having as easy a time as they would have liked. Yay for you!!! This week is major PMS time. I'm retaining water like a camel. I'm not going to get on a scale until after my period goes away -- I don't want the depression! My eating has at times been okay, and other days I feel like I'll never be full. Combination of stress and PMS, I guess. I started my new job at Weston Bakeries -- so far it looks good! There's a lot to be done and it's an interesting position (working for the VP and Director of Operations for 900-employee baking factory; part of a much larger corporation). I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well and we all get along! This Saturday is my one-year anniversary of going out with the b-friend. We're moving in together at the end of the month, and though it would have been nice to have a sparkler before moving in, but I know that, unless we hate living with each other, the ring is coming by the end of the year. Can't let him get too comfortable!! Tonight we're going to see "Shakespeare on the Sound" in Rowayton -- packing a picnic dinner & watch a play on the shore. Saturday, we're going to THE SAME GAME AS ANNE -- Go Yankees indeed!!!!! The people I'm going with are all Mets fans, so if you don't hear from me again, you'll know I was thrown to the wolves. Sunday's a bbq, and Monday I hope to REST!!! Anne -- we should try to find a place to meet up in the parking lot at Shea! Cheryl -- I do try to entertain! Everyone have a great 4th! XO Kathy F.

Kathy- I love my Yankees too!!!! I was so upset if Derek hurt that awful cute face of his last night! My husband got me into this. Guys can't get over how much I always know about sports. I have no choice. I tried so hard to stay up last night and kept on dozing. But they came through!!! Have fun at the game. And make sure you have that sparkle on your finger by Dec. or he can lose the sparkle in his eye!!! Get it?
