Got approval - Barely

My surgery date is Monday 1/14/08 and as of this AM Blue Cross of NJ still had me in pending.  Luckily Paula at Dr. Duffy's office and I have been politely hounding the insurance company and attempting to anticipate their next request/demand.  About 9:01 this morning (they don't open til 9 I called the insurance.  At this time I was told they just got the last info today and would now put it into review.  At about 11 Paula called me to say I was approved.  The good news is I was so busy worrying about approval that I haven't had a chance to worry about anything else.  The bad news is I am a world class worrier and now I have so little time to make my lists for work and home.

That's terrific.  It's better to have not enough time than to have too much time to think about it.  You will be so happy with your decision.  See you on the loser's bench. Bev

Thanks Bev, I can't wait! I am sorry that my parents and other older relatives are so worried about this, but while I understand their fears I can't allow myself to succumb to them.  Oh well.  Please save me a space on the bench.

Congratulations!  I know exactly what you mean about worrying!  But it is a good thing that Monday will be here before you know it!  Do you have to do any more pre-op testing? I have the endoscopy and pre-op at St. Raph's on the 18th.  I will be banded on 2/11.  Good luck. Next week by this time you will be on the road to a healthier life!  

Good going Tina I will save you a seat next to me.  I only had bloodwork and EKG for pre-op testing.  The only thing I am waiting for now is Friday pm to see what time I should be there on Monday. 

Awesome and congratulations! We're keeping a seat warm on the losers bench :) As for not having enough time, things will fall into place and before you know it you'll be posting that your home :)
