I'm Home .. so tired
Hi Tara,
Yay!!! You did it! Glad you are home, sorry about the pain. It will get better every day, don't worry. Just take it slow, and protect your pouch. I had a really bad bruise around my large incision also. It was really ugly, but it's gone now.
The drain tube removal was a pretty disgusting feeling. I held my breath while he did it, but it was the weirdest sensation.
Get lots of rest, and walk, and drink, and...well, you know what to do.
Keep us posted!
Welcome home!!
Anne
Welcome home, Tara!
And remember, each day will be a bit better than the one before it.
I came home in our minivan and had the same thing. There's a HUGE dip in the driveway and when we bounced down it I thought my insides were permanently rearranged!
So recline, and watch all those wonderful daytime TV shows! Catch us up on any good gossip, will you?

Hey Tara -
Glad you're home! The Tylenol w/codeine will take the edge off. You'll probably only need it for a few days, but it's nice to have in case ....
I got a ride home from the hospital with my sister -- the world's worst driver! I was in the hospital on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. However, Janet hates driving on the FDR, so we had to cross over to the west side so she could take the route that she's comfortable with. She also drives really slowly & hits the breaks quickly whenever she senses danger ... which is almost always (I really do love her though .........). By the time I got home (3 hours later for a 1 hour drive!) I was in so much pain and so drained I collapsed.
In any case, take the nice drugs, let the hubby take care of you & rest!
