Well, I have my surgery scheduled, my appt. with Dr. Bell, and pre-surgery testing as well. I have to see my internist/rheumatologist for clearance; I saw cardiologist for echocardiogram. It is all coming together!!! But boy, I must say that my emotions are all over the place ...one minute I'm happy ; next minute, I'm nervous; then I get sad ! It must be "normal" or I must be going At least this weekend is chockfull , so I won't have time to think, ...cuz I'll be too busy Then next weekend is the holiday! And then the countdown begins! Thanks for letting me blab !!! JA

JA: We are like 2 peas in a pod. I have been like Sybil these past few days. I go from extreme highs to crying over the stupidest things. I have been nesting which is a good thing because I am not the neatest person on the planet. (very un-virgo of me) I have been on vacation this week so I have had plent of time to clean out my clothes. Say good bye to all of my winter clothes!!! I sure will not miss them. Sounds like you have plans to keep busy this weekend. That is great. Sounds like you are getting all your pre-op stuff out of the way. When is your appt. with Dr.Bell? Mine is 7/20 at 10:40. I made an appt with my PCP for a physical. I don't need any medical clearance so I don't have to worry about having to make appts. to get that. I plan on hanging in the pool as much as possible this weekend. I bought flax seeds today. I have to buy a cheap grinder so I can start taking the seeds. I have read quite a bit about them on the main board. Have a great weekend Chryssie

Wow..all surgeons do things soo differently! I couldn't even get a surgery date with Dr. Arnanow until I met all the requirements! Good luck to everyone...Yes, lots of emotions...I just cannot wait until the second day after surgery..I just want the first day..which I hear is the pits..to be over! I cannot wait to feel like a human being again..instead of a blob. I have begun my walking regimine...(six months late...) and will continue everyday...I need to do this for ME~! Joanie Surgery six days away!

Joanie: I did meet all the requirements prior to getting a date. The physical is for me and not required by my surgeon. I passed all my pre-op tests back in January. Believe me my surgeon is very thorough. Best wishes to you. Chryssie

Hi Chryssie! It sounds like the emotional rollercoaster has begun it's course in both of you! It's crazy, so many times I almost backed out of the surgery. I ate my way through it and added an extra 20 pounds before surgery. My friends at work were talking about it to me the other day. They said I was eating something all day long. I am sure I was too. I am so glad you've gotten all your testing finished and now you are ready. I laughed when you said how un-virgo like you were! I am a virgo too. Sept 7th. And I am the same way.....too funny. Hey Cheryl, The funniest thing about this whole virgo-thing I that I am a virgo too!!! Sept. 4th!! We'll have to have a Virgo party!!! The thing that has always slaved me is that you know how Virgos are perfectionists, and I am about everything ...but was never able to be a perfectionist about my weight..but now with the tool that Dr. Bell is going to provide me with, I think I'll be able to accomplish that too! I am so ready! The rollercoaster is driving me mad! I too am eating things I never ate before out of pure nervousness!!! So I'm counting the days until I am human again! JA
