CT vs. Main Message Boards

Hi everyone, I'm sitting here at work, bored out of my mind so I decided to check out the main message board for the first time in months...maybe 6 or more months. WOW! What a difference!! We are a group of supportive men and women, we're all there for each other and I KNOW at any time I can post a question, problem, or concern and not only will I get an answer but support and friendship. How many times have each and everyone of us said we didn't know an answer, but offered friendship and support? TONS of times. I was reading some of the posts on the main board that were horrible! Claiming people are false posting for support, being incredible rude, arguing for the sake of arguing and flaming each other. I dont think I'll be checking that board out again for a long time, I was disgusted by what I read. Believe me, I can be as mean and Bi**chy as the next person, but when someone is asking for help, I try to help or at least be supportive. So, I just want to say I'm proud to be a member of the CT Board, and to thank each and every one of you all for being so wonderful. What an eye-opening experience that was!!

Hi Debbie, I definitely prefer our CT board, everyone is really nice and because our group is somewhat small, it is easy getting to know people. I do read both boards though, because the volume of posts on the main board is huge. I read the ones that interest me in my phase of the WLS journey and skip those other ones. It is amazing some of the things people post and argue about. It's like they forget what the boards are here for. I have learned so much here, and I am glad to be part of this board, for sure!! Anne
