UPDATE PSYCHOLOGY EVALUATION

Hello Everybody, First of all, thank you for your support and feedback about this. I MADE IT!!!! I was in Dr. Kim Daniels's office for three hours!! We talked about everything and how I will cope stress or head mind hunger after this surgery. She said I am a good candidate for this surgery but I do have trouble with food comfort but will working on it. I like Dr. Daniels and might need her to talk after surgery. She is nice and very understanding about my struggle with diets in the past. She also said she might need me to help other deaf person if she/he wants this surgery and said I will be good model for them. She said I am first deaf person who is processing for this surgery. My next appointment is sleep evaluation on July 7th. After that, I went to group support. It was good group and alot of laughing there. I saw Julie there. Seh said she will have heart stress test today and it look like she might have surgery this August. I was glad to see her again. Kathy K.

Hey Kathy, I am glad that your psych testing is over with and that it went well. These tests aren't really anything to worry over, they are just precautions. I don't think I will be going to New London tomorrow as it is my niece's graduation. If it rains I will be coming as there aren't enough tickets for all of us for the inside location. Guess I will be playing it by ear. Take care and let me know how the meeting goes. Linda

Yay Kathy!!! We knew you could do it!!! It is a good idea to have someone to talk to after surgery. Head hunger can really play tricks with you sometimes, but you find ways of dealing with it. You're so on your way now. All your tests will be done soon and then you'll be a looza too. Maggie

Hi Kathy, Well one more step to cross off that list of things to do before surgery. Just think the list keeps getting shorter and shorter I'm so glad you were pleased with the doctor, I'm sure that made it a lot easier for you.
