New experience..

I had my first experience throwing up today. awful! awful! I was having a lovely snack of pork rinds, ate about 3 and then came the spasms that hurt like crazy and the pork rinds decided they were coming back up. Of all things.. I mean, they're mushy.. but I can tell from the reaction, they were too dry. So far, I've been able to tolerate all the things everyone has trouble with. Every time I think about having something I tell myself "a lot of people have problems with this" and expect the worse, but thankfully it's all gone down ok. (except the sugar free/make your intestines explode/icecream) Anyhow.. just had to share that gross experience. This whole throwing up thing, I hate.. so it makes me more leary of doing it again. (guess that's the good thing)

Hi Michelle, Sounds like the throwing up thing is somewhat of a bother. I'm sorry. I guess the only way to know what the body can handle is to try it first. I wanted to let you know I clicked on to your profile and you look great! Even though it's only been a month, you look much slimmer through the neck and belly-YOU GO! Keep up the great work. By the way, is it all sugar free ice cream or a specific one??? Congragulations again, Anne

Michelle, I'm sorry you threw up. That stinks I know. It's good to see you're doing so well tollerating foods. I checked out your pics and you look fantastic. What a difference you can see already. Congratulations... Maggie

Why thank you ladies for the compliments. Now if I could only take a picture w/o looking all scrunched up like a witch. I thought I'd take a monthly pic up to keep track of my progress.. for those times I really think nothing's moving. They seem to help. Anne, it was the Keto something or another ice cream that caused the distress. I have tried the Carb Karma by Ben & Jerry's and it's yummy and as long as I eat a small amount (like I could fit large amounts of anything in ) I'm ok. If I do a spoon over it makes me a little nauseated, but no GI distress. Sugar Free pudding pops are good too. A little protein shake tasting, but good for a snack. Thanks again!

Hi Michelle, Sorry you had the bad experience but that is how we learn by trial and error. The only thing is what might make us sick to today is not necessarily going to bother us tomorrow and visa versa . However you may be correct that at this early on the pork rinds were just too dry for you. You are doing great though . Keep up the good work. Linda
