I Survived
Well just barely. Hi All, this was my first week working after two years. It was a long week and 6am every morning came too soon. My schedule for the week was up at 6 am, work, come home make dinner, clean up,
take shower, get stuff ready for the next day and to bed by 9pm. I know its going to take a little adjusting since my stamina still isn't that great but I will overcome it. And boy did I get my excersize, this company is very large and did I do a lot of walking, now mind you this a person who has lived in sneaks for the past two years, so walking in dress shoes was torture, I'm thinking of investing in one of those foot spa's,
But everyone seems nice and helpful, I'm in the credit department and they already have me making customer calls. I sure did drink a lot this week, must have been from all the talking. They have a lovely kitchen with microwave, oven, fridge, dishwasher, ice maker etc. Its actually nicer than my kitchen and you should see the big wigs offices, talk about elegant. Oh well I can dream can't I.
It sure will be nice getting a pay check, then I can go back to being a shop-acholic again.
I really wanted to thank you all for your concerns about my new job and let you know that I did okay and am actually looking forward to next week.
Hugs to you all and have a super week.
Mary Lou
I had to write to you Miss Linda also. How's the house going? Are you almost ready? I can't get over how constantly busy you are. You will be skin and bones soon.
Tell me how much you miss watching our BB? I do alot!!!
I am going back to work tomorrow. I am nervous about wearing this stupid binder all day there, but oh well I'll be fine. If I start looking weak, I work for a doctor and she'll make me go home. She is very protective of me so she'll watch over me like a mother bear. When we work, we work real hard, but she's also the real deal. We are starting a Center for Public Health with Storrs, so the work is going to be mounding.
So I'll let you all know how I do after my first week back! love u!
Cheryl
Mary Lou,
You brought back memories for me when I started back at UConn. I remember being in a daze for about a month. I loved it, but it was hard. Your stamina will increase for sure, and it will just become routine. It makes a big difference that people treat you nice there and it sounds like you feel comfortable there.
Everything we try now seems easier, at least to me. Going different places, meeting people for the first time. They never knew us fat so we don't have to explain a thing.
You are a strong women, and I give you so much credit going beginning this new chapter in your life. You go girl!
love
Cheryl
Mary Lou -
How great it was to read about your first week at work!!
It's tiring at first, I'm sure, but sounds like it's a nice place and you're gonna do just fantastic!
Think how you'll be flitting from place to place as you get lighter and lighter..now isn't THAT exciting!!!
I wish you all the best.
Hugs,
Carla
