Hi Everyone!
Just an update. I must be getting better, because I am now feeling bored. I am getting my drain out at 4pm today!! I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to that!!
I have babied this thing, made sure it's been emptied, measured, the works. Don't you know this morning I am walking by the kitchen cabinets with my tea in hand and the plastic tubing gets caught on the knob of the cabinet and I dislodged it alittle. Ok, this not only woke me up big time, but here it is finally the day I am getting it out and I mess it up!! WHY ME?? LOL why not me, I guess......
I would be sitting outside, but I have been feeling sensitive to the heat for some strange reason. I wonder if it's just the stitches and meds maybe. But I am doing a lot better, no more fevers and I can actually see a little light at the end of the tunnel here.
I called Anthem/BC yesterday, and they said this appeal process can take forever so to just start writing my portion of it and wait to get billed. I can work on that, but I'd rather read my new Jodi Picoult book which is amazing.
I heard Cathy did an outstanding job at the support group meeting this week. She is also going to have a "dress for less" show next month. So I'll give you all more details on that one. It is sponsored by Dress Barn and I guess they have capris that are really petit not just say they are. Bring 5'8" myself, I can't relate, but I have many friends that love capris and can't wear them cause they just look like pants too short.
If anyone needs me, I am only an email away!

Glad to hear you're getting up & about my dear!!
Did your insurance turn you down for the procedure, or is that relating to another procedure -- with people like us, there are so many things insurance-related. I'm looking at it a few months down the road, so I'm curious ........
I am entirely familiar with the capri problem for petites. I'm 5' 1 1/2." I actually try to stay away from the capris because my legs look short enought already (!), but I have been known to buy regular sized "cropped" pants, because they come to the right length on my leg for a regular-sized jean. I'm still in that lovely place where petites don't all fit well. The blasted clothing manufacturers still stick to the concept that petite doesn't just mean "5'4" and under," and they shrink the dimensions as well. Damn them!!!!!! I am getting closer to size 12s in regular sizes, so then I guess I can buy some 14 petites.
I'm babbling. Again, I'm very happy you're feeling better. You'll be looking at a flatter, happier tummy in no time. Yay!!

Hi Cheryl,
So how did the drain removal go? I am sure not having to worry about it being there is a big relief. Can't believe you go back to work next week already. It seems like time has flown. I hope you are feeling better each day and that you do baby yourself for awhile. Please keep us updated on your appeal process. Some of us also have the State of CT Anthem and are outraged at their decision. Most important thing though is that you feel good!! Talk to you soon.
Linda
P.S. Have you seen the "Domination" Special yet on CPTV???? Its awesome.
