can u believe this...5 days to go and NOW my insurance wants me to go to a cardiologist?! Come on, it's been a year since i started this journey and they wait til now. The thing is, Linda says I have to have this info in by Monday...can we say there is the smell of postponement in the air
I'm soooo upset that it's hard to concentrate on anything else. My primary is trying his best today to see what he can do because he said this has never hapened to him before. Has anyone else been through this?

Hi Paulette,
Boy I sure know how you are feeling. I had a very similar thing happen to me. I was told right before my surgery that I needed cardiac clearance and I only had about a week and half to do it. I will tell you that I begged the cardiologist's office (had never been there before) to schedule me for the exam and a chemical stress test even if I didn't need both. As it happened I did. If I had waited to go to the first appointment I never would have been squeezed in the next day for the the stress test. I was a wreck but it worked out and I got it done in time. I wish you luck and will keep my fingers crossed that you will get it all done in time!!!

Paulette:
This sounds familiar! I just got a phone call from Linda (at Dr. Tran's office) after calling and leaving several messages that she hasn't submitted my authorization to my insurance company yet because she is still waiting for a letter from my PCP. I saw my PCP a month ago and I am scheduled for surgery on the 24th (a week and a half away!).
I am trying not to panic and am fasting right now and not even sure if I am going to be approved. I understand I'm not the first to be panicking at the last minute waiting for everything to be ready!! So don't feel bad! It seems that these doctor's offices are quite busy. What can ya do?!?
Hang in the sweetie!
Tara
