Well I survived my surgery and am very happy to be home today. Dee Bee was in the hospital with me as she had hers the day before me. I must say, she was an inspiration and a great friend to have there. There were also two other women, one the day before me also and one the day after. It's great to meet everyone and share experiences. It certainly makes you feel that you are not alone. Well, day one at home has been great so far. I will keep you posted on my progress. Thank you for all your support and encouragement and I look forward to continuing it with all of you....

I am sorry that I will not be able to make it to the get together on the 12th as I had a prior commitment that I hope I will still be able to keep. I can't wait to meet all of you. Are they only held once a year? I can't imagine what I will look like after one year!
