This is a Chuckle ... and a Shiver

Hi kids! As some of you know, I've been down in the dumps because of, among other things, a job that's going to be relocated within the next 6 months or so ... not such a shame since I dislike it, but worrisome because I need a job/insurance. I had been turned down for one job & I was feeling sorry for myself. Well, I sent a few resumes out & got a call-back from an agency for a job that sounded perfectly suited to my skills. I have an interview with them tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. (feel free to pray here!). Guess where it is? The bakery company that makes Entenmens, Freihofers, Thomas' English Muffins, etc.! Yet more proof that God has a sense of humor. Wish me luck ... I think!! Kathy F.

Good luck tomorrow Kathy! Will you be working right where they make the products or will it be in a office at a removed setting? I don't think i could handle smelling that all day!!!

Kathy, Good Luck tomorrow at the interview. I actually found a wonderful job 3 months ago. I had sent out what seemed like a million resumes and onlyu had about 8 interviews. This job came through a temp agency and today is actually my first day as a "permanent" employee. Don't get discouraged if things don't go your way. God has his plans for all of us. As for the bakery.. you are being tested and you sound ready for the test !! Again, good luck and my prayers are with you deanna

Congratulations to you on your permanent employment!! It's been a rough couple of years in terms of job availability. I do hope something comes up soon, before my dept. relocates. And I would be working in the corporate offices, not in the bakery area... thank God!! Kathy F.

OMG Kathy!!! That is too funny. Well hopefully one of two things will happen (of course I am absolutely confident that you will get this new job and you will love it!!!!), first you will not be anywhere near the baking facility or second the smell will nauseate (sp?) you and you won't be able to even bear the thought of eating any of that crap!! Gots to look on the bright side...... Linda

Kathy- I am a Pastry Chef. Need I say more? So I literally have my hands IN frosting and cake mix, cookie dough, you name, it I make it! You would be surprised at how well a strong will works. You just tell yourself how hard you are working to lose the weight and you'll do it! Besides, once you get used to being around that stuff all the time, you'll get sick of it. TRUST ME!!
