Hi Anne! Welcome to the boards and good luck with your journey. Just wanted to let you know that Dr Yood, who is in the practice with Dr Reinhold and Dr Barajas, is a very nice guy and he is the one that did my endoscopy. He also performed a corrective surgery on my friend Linda when she suffered a complication from her bypass and Dr Reinhold was away on vacation. She thought he was great. I think you're in fine hands! If you have any questions about the whole process or need a sounding board, please feel free to email me! Hugs, Carla

Things are going along well for me. My surgery is in 10 days, June 7th. I've begun to tell a few more people what I'm doing now that I have the surgery date. And for the most part, it has been very supportive. I am SO ready for this. It is so incredible to know that THIS time the weight will come off and stay off. It's been a long time since I've felt this good inside. I will be thinking of all of you on the 12th, wish I could be there. This weekend is yardwork and finishing a few projects at home. I want to get as much in order as I can right now. I want all of you to know how much help reading this list has been. I don't post often, but I do read just about all of it. And I'd love to hear more from those that have had the lap band.

Julie!! Wishing you the best on June 7th. May your slide to the losing side be as uneventful and pain free as possible. This is such an exciting time. I can't tell you much about the lap band but there are others on here who will be glad to help you out I am sure. We will miss you on the 12th but hope you make it to the next one!! Linda

Hi all It's been a long week! But the best part is, June 10th is just around the corner, and I get to see Dr. Bell! I received a call from the hospital confirming my insurance info, etc. that made me realize how close I was to seeing Dr. Bell. I am so anxious I just can't wait. Hopefully, I will have surgery before my birthday in Sept. I have plans to do some gardening this weekend and am having a cook out on Sunday. Happy holidays to all and God Bless. JA

Hey Jan, I was sitting here thinking of you and Chryssie both attending the same group session and just saying to Dr. Bell........"Can you just do us right now???" . You are both soooo ready. The 10th will be here before you know it and then only one more wait. Hope you have a good weekend and get some rest and relaxation. I will talk to you next week and definitely see you on the 8th. Hi Linda, Hi Everyone! Well, it has been a busy couple of weeks for me too! Sounds like we are all busy bees! I am 4 months out and I hit the 70 pound mark yesterday! I was soooo excited! I am trying to hit 100 pounds for 6 months so we will see what shall happen. My hubby Tom is recovering from his gastric bypass last Thursday and he is doing wonderful! He is already sleeping in bed and on his side! It took me a month to do that! We will be going to the get together on June 12th and I can't wait to meet all of you! We are going to bring our little guy Logan too and we are bringing Carla with us too! I have been busy with work because the end of the school year is winding down, I am like a little kid I can't wait to get out for summer vacation! Taking care of my 2 babies and the homefront! Have a wonderful weekend everyone! This will be my first big picnic as a post op but I am sure all those compliments from epople who have not seen me will outweigh me drooling over those picnic foods! Take care Everyone! MaryJo

Hi Mary Jo, Good to see you on the boards. Congrats on the great weight loss. You are doing terrific. Don't worry about drooling over the picnic foods as we will only behaving things that we all can eat. Actually folks who are bringing kids might want to keep that in mind if their kids are really picky eaters and bring something with them that the kids will eat. Sounds like Tom is moving right along. I can't wait to meet you guys in person. Carla told me she was coming with you. We aren't going to let her sit off in the corner by herself now are we?? . Take care and have a great weekend. Don't forget to bring pics!! Linda

Hi Everyone! I don't have any updates other than I just got another job. This makes #4! I have 1 full time job and 3 part time jobs. Hrmm, a husband, 3 kids, a dog, 2 cats, 4 bearded dragons, 2 gerbils, a hermit crab and a lotta fish. Wow, I'm insane. Anyway, I've decided 2004 is MY YEAR! I am finally doing things I've been wanting to do FOR MYSELF for a long time. My husband has been very supportive. Right now, I can honestly say I am the most blessed person I know. Just about 3 weeks til my surgery. I can't wait. I've already scheduled the time off from ALL my jobs and had no trouble with that at all. There is a lot of support around me. I'm thrilled. I am still planning on being there the 12th. I think my two older kids won't be attending so it might be just me, my husband and our 4 year old. Will there be people there after 3? I am working at one of the stations in Norwal****il 1 and then have to go back to Norwalk to another station for 7. Will I make it? Ugh .. I might only be able to make an appearance and run. I am sorry. Congratulations to all the losers .. I am AMAZED and so proud of you all. For the pre-ops, I congratulate you as well for being here, doing the research and really being pro-active in your quest! Love you all!! Tara
