David - I've had some food tollerance issues post op. I was FINE 2 weeks after and ate almost anything then *BAM*. I couldn't tollerate anything without throwing up so I went from stage 5 back to stage 2. I had to have a scope test to ensure I didn't have my stoma closing/closed. I didn't so the doc put me on high doseage antibiotics. That seems to stop the constant nausea. I've tried reintroducing meats but all I can tollerate is fish. I've become a big seafood salad girl and stop ang shop's egg salad is also a staple. Since you sound like you're pre-op, how about a healthy salad for the night meal. Use spinach instead of lettuce (baby is best) and add fresh veggies. There isn't too much prep, lo-cal, nourishing yet light for a "night meal." Hope that helps. becky (396)330/282/175
