I am on day 4 post-op, and I have had the worst headache since surgery! I stopped taking the tylenol with codeine last night, thinking that is the cause, but I still have the headache. I was talking to my mom and she suggested liquid children's tylenol, so I get out the bottle, drink a sip and taste sugar! Yuck. I spit it out. Thank God I didn't dump from it. But now I still have this headache! Any ideas what I can take? I would feel so much better if I could get rid of this! Help please!! Thanks, Anne

Hi Anne, I also had some really bad headaches post op. What it turned out to be was my blood sugar was going too low especially overnight. What my doctor suggested was drinking my last ensure later in the evening. As soon as I began drinking it around 9pm the headaches went away. Don't know if that helps but I was amazed. I thought it was my sleep apnea at first but it wasn't and I was using my cpap. I am soooo glad you are home and back with us Linda

Anne, Sorry I don't have any solutions to post for you. I just wanted to say welcome home! Other than the headache from "H*%#!" How did everyting go? What hospital were you in? Any words of wisdom for a pre-op for this coming Tuesday? Oh, what about quick disolve Excedrine? too much caffine? Or childrens chewable tylenol? Just a thought to try and help. My prayers are with you! xo, Dee

Anne, I'm sorry you have such a bad headache. Did you by chance have an Epi or spinal block. I know that these can cause major headaches after surgery. I know what you mean about the tylenol. My hubby got me the bubblegum flavor and I thought I was drinking pure sugar. I did ok with it and it did help. I hope you feel better soon. Have you checked with the pharmacy to see if there is a sugar free brand for diabetics? Maggie

Anne - Could the headache be a sinus headache? Tylenol never really touches that kind of headache for me and I wouldn't be suprised if it is sinus related with all this "lovely" CT weather. Just a thought. As far as sinus products, quick dissolved Alavert is my choice. Hope you're feeling better and congrats on your WLS. becky (396)330/282/175
