Another dumb question

I know I can have 1-2 quarts of fluids a day, this includes broth, but is slowly taking in 4 oz of broth too much at one serving?? I didn't have a problem getting it down and I felt good after eating it. There are just so many little things to remember and I just want to make sure I'm playing by the rules. I know if it were more solid things, 4 oz would be too much, so I just want to make sure that the liquid won't kill me this early out. Thanks in advance! Michelle

Michelle, Don't worry about the liquids. You don't need to sip broth or anything else for 30 minutes....lol. Drink what you can. Most people have difficulties getting enough fluids in at the beginning but if they don't bother you than go for it girl friend!! I was pretty good about getting alot of fluids in. I found that hot things like broth went down very easy. You are doing great!! Linda

Don't fret over drinking 'too much' liquid. You're not overdoing it. Hydration is VERY important. Some people can drink faster/more than others. SO, your goal should be to get in as much liquids as you can in a day (up to , of course the goal amount that your surgeon says) while SIPPING, not gulping. If you drink too much/too fast, you'll feel pressure and discomfort. Take care, Lisa C
