OPTIFAST

Does anyone know how many servings are in the optifast drinks on www.endtheweight.com?  They sell the individual packs for $3.45/each, but they also offer the Optifast for $17.95 but don't mention the serving numbers.

This may be a tad off topic, but what programs recommend using OPTIFAST?  Although it's been a few years since my surgery, I recall being discouraged from using that product because the ratio of protein to carbs is relatively low compared to the much higher protein and lower carb contents of other products.

I was told that I would need to go on the Optifast diet 2 weeks prior to surgery (assuming that my ins. co. approves the surgery) so I was just checking to see what my options would be.  The individual serviings are a little pricey so I was trying to go for a less expensive option.   Anyone else had to do this prior to their surgery?
