any bad experiences?
Paulette,
I had surgery with Dr. Bell last July. Unfortunately I did have several complications which had nothing to do with Dr. Bell's competency. If it wasn't for Dr. Bell staying on top of things, I'd probably not be here.
Don't mean to scare you, I'm just letting you know that I trust this doctor.
Best wishes on your surgery and I hope you have a wonderful journey,
Mary Lou
Hi Paulette,
Well, I had no problems at all with the surgery. In fact I had so little pain and problems I sometimes wonder if he really did the surgery!! . That aside there have been a couple of people who had complications but from what I know they have been things like blood clots which are a risk with any type of surgery with any surgeon. I know there are some folks on this board who have had problems and they are better qualified to discuss them with you. Also Dr. Bell will go over all of those things when you meet with him before surgery. Good luck on the 16th. May your slide to the losing side be as uneventful and pain free as possible. Hope to see you at the support group meeting on June 8th.

Paulette,
I think Dr. Bell is a great surgeon but I am one of the ones that was unfortunate enough to have some serious complications. Most people come through fine though and most that do have complications would still chose to do the surgery again.
