Out of the 300's !!

Well, I went to my regular doctor yesterday and for the first time in quite a few years, I'm under 300. My surgery was on April 27 and I weighed in at 327, and now I'm 298. I'm really delighted with this. Normally, when I'd lose some weight on one diet or another, I'd get scared or something of certain new weights and then go off the diet into "safe" mental territory. Well, there's no doing that here! So, I guess I'm really going to continue losing.... Wow! On Tuesday night I began my pureed foods stage 3 and next Tuesday will advance to soft foods. I was really quite afraid to put anything thick in my pouch - I keep in mind that things can log-jam down there, so I'm extra careful. I'm drinking the Pure Protein 35 grams of protein shakes and thankfully, they supply the bulk of the protein I need. I do like them ok, but I find I'm kind of foamy-gassy in all parts of my stomach. Not horrible, just kind of disturbing. It's been over 2 weeks now, since my lap bypass and it felt like I would never get to this point. And there is so much further to go. This is such a major personal journey. It's sure comforting to know that all of us are going through this together. Thanks for reading this and my very best to each one of you. Love, Linda.
