Where has our time for nurturing friendships gone? Welcome to the Spring edition of getting to know your friends. Bette 1. What time do you get up? Weekdays? 5:40. Weekends? 10:40 - maybe. 2. If you could eat lunch with one person, who would it be? My husband. But if he can't make it, I'll take someone who's rich enough to fly me someplace exotic for something I've never had before: cat, dog, monkey brains, Rocky Mountain oysters.. what the hell. 3. Do you prefer gold or silver? Silver 4. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Jeez...um...."Cold Mountain", I think. I rather despise going to the movies now and will until 1) theatres stop showing commercials (not trailers) and 2) people learn to show up on time, turn off their cell phones, and shut the hell up. 5. What is/are your favorite TV show/s? Jeopardy!, Third Watch, South Park, Iron Chef (now that they've got some new eps), Friends, Six Feet Under, Trading Spaces, Monster House, American Chopper, most of HBO's America Undercover. My guilty pleasure is "Most Extreme Challenge". My guiltiest pleasure is MTV's Making of the Band. I enjoy Extreme Makeover Home Edition and I'll admit that I cry like a baby every time they do the reveal. 6. What do you have for breakfast? Protein shake, then coffee on weekdays, usually something a little more elaborate (like a waffle with peanut butter) on Sunday. 7. Who would you hate to be stuck in a room with? EXCLUDING people I work with - Gilbert Godfried. George Bush (dubya). OH! John Ashcroft! (Good GOD!! I don't know who I'd kill first: him or myself!) 8. What/who inspires you? People who actually do good, meaningful, worthwhile things with their lives: firemen, teachers, homeless advocates, AIDS activists ... 9. What is your middle name? Anne 10. Beach, Lake, City, or Country? Beach, preferably somewhere warm. 11. Favorite ice cream? Black raspberry 13. Favorite color? Purple 14. What kind of car do you drive? 2003 PT Cruiser - electric blue 15. Favorite sandwich? Currently, Subway turkey and ham on a deli roll with swiss, lettuce, onion, black olives, pickles and yellow mustard. My guilty pleasure? Peanut butter and bacon, there mere MENTION of which grosses Paul out. 16. What characteristics do you despise? Arrogance, stupidity (especially when it goes hand in hand with igorance), lack of a sense of humor. Un-called-for rudeness. Poor driving skills. Anyone who drives a Hummer. Having my then 4 y/o niece try to wash clothes for me (being a big girl) as I had just gotten out of the hospital and she remembered the Dr. saying I shouldn't do much.
