I think I want to flush myself down with yesterdays lunch!

The Sat log is either floating away in the last round of burps or flushed down the toilet with yesterday's lunch! I'm not feeling so great. Been trying to do everything I'm suppose and be good, stay on top of things and what not, but can't...      I have no appetite, I'm tired, dragging and feel real ****ty right now! The best I can do for today's log: B - 4oz of protein drink - 10g protein, 0carb S - Wait I was suppose to have a snack?  Yeah right... tell it to my stomach! L - 3 baby spoons of pureed (threw it in the blender) Wendy's Chili and its a miracle I didn't throw it all up although my stomach was upset for about 45min to an hour after I ate it. S - Oh good grief, food again, perhaps I'll just drink another 4oz of protein drink - 10g, 0carb D - I can't even think of food so I have no clue what i might try to see if I my stomach will keep it down!  If I dare to try food it will probably be another 2-3 baby spoons of the pureed chili or ... oh hell I don't know..  I can't think of food my stomach gets upset! I have been keeping hydrated though... drinking hot drinks though, not really caring for cold ones! I did call my NUT to find out if I should force myself to eat even though I have no appetite and puke half the time I try to make myself eat.  She said she isn't overly concerned yet since (as of yesterday) I was only on day 3 of this episode...  She recommended getting lots of rest and fluids in me.  Told me to take a bite or two if I could force myself without getting to naseaus or vomiting. If I couldn't not to worry so long as I am able to get in 50g of protein and I take ALL my vitamins.   I'm to call if I feel I get worse or see no imporvement by monday...   I did forget to mention the really annoying burping. I'm doing it so bad and uncontrollably.. regardless of whether I have eaten or not.. I burp all the time and occasionall the gas escapes other ways ;). Any of you go threw this?

So sorry to hear you are having a bad time of it. Keep yourself hydrated, get rest like you were told and hopefully things will improve soon  for you, if not keep in touch with your surgeons office to update them if you don't improve. You have  not  done anything wrong, don't be so hard on yourself. Take care Sher

It doesn't seem like you are getting anywhere near enough protein-- and 50 grams would be pretty low (most programs advise getting in at least 60 grams per day).  Also, if you are taking all your vitamins, then they could be contributing to your stomach upset and your wanting puke.  Chronicle when you are taking your multi, calcium and B12 (as well as your iron, if needed) and see if you can't consider having them at night (that way, although they might take up much needed space, it's not a factor because you are sleeping while they are being digested).

Well good news is I finally managed to get a few bites in last night ... wasn't even a full half ounce worth of food, but it was a few bites and it settled good. I'm still burping up a storm.   I'm going to see how today goes and will definitly call Dr's office if I am not better or what not...   As for the vitamins, hmm... didn't think about that.. and when I eat them they do make me feel a bit full/bloated feeling. I think I will do what you said and reverse my order of taking the pills. I was taking my Multi, B12, 1st calcium in the morning... and iron 2 hours after that set... I'll switch it around and take those towards the end of the day see how I do...   As for the 50g that's what was on my instructions, however I did take your advice to heart and personally have been taking over 60 to 70g a day until the last few days when I began not to feel right. Thank you so much for the input!  I knew I could get some help and reassurances on here :)
